PERFECT POP AND PASTEL PANTONE PAINT, that everybody is obsessed by.

People have become obsessed with Pantone inspired paint by Valspar. I'm not ashamed to say i'm one of them.

Paint brand  Valspar®  has teamed up with iconic colour matching corporation PANTONE®  to create two new distinctive and trendy interior paint collections - Pastels Inspired by Pantone and Pop inspired by Pantone.

Rose Quartz & Serenity

The Pastels Inspired by Pantone collection exhibits calming fair tones, including the Pantone Colours of the Year - Rose Quartz and Serenity. In my flat I have used "Dawn Blue" (from the Pantone Pastel Collection) to paint my skirting and door frames. For the main walls I have brilliant white, the use of such a subtle colour really breaks up the brightness of the white, and creates a stylish and minimalist aesthetic in an otherwise small and cramped space. I was torn between this and "Rose Quartz", but chose the blue as the slightly colder colour opened up the small space.

The saturated hues from Pop Inspired by Pantone Collection brings us vibrant playful colours, getting you ready to spice up your home style. The colours are bold and daring, and you may feel like you're taking a risk buying a £19 1L pot to do a feature wall, however the Valspar Collections are available in tester pots, so you can paint something small, like a picture frame in "Mars Red" to  add a pop of colour to the room.

“We’re delighted to be the first paint brand in the UK to partner with Pantone® to inspire colour confidence. Whether you choose from the chalky palette of pretty pastel tones or bold vibrant hues, these PANTONE colours will really add that wow factor to your home”. Kasia Wiktorowicz, Valspar

Valspar paints are available in tester pots, 1L(£19) and 2.5L(£32). When moving into my new flat I was lucky enough to be given a £100 B&Q decorating voucher. However in a pokey 20 metre square, one bedroom flat, thats a lot of money to spend on paint. So i went all out and bought a 2.5L pot of "Dawn Blue" from the Patel Collection, £32 is certainly a premium on that amount of paint, but considering I got it "free" I thought why the hell not. The coverage is amazing! My skirting and doorframes where a horribl nicotine stained magnolia gloss, and my bathroom a light capachino, however I have managed to paint all eight doorframes, skirting and bathroom with one coat and the paint can still looks full! i could easily do a second coat to really enrich the pigment, and although its not awfully sensible to paint skirting and door frames in Matt Emulsion, I have so much to touch areas up! the colours are very true to the colour swatch, and I would happily pay for more colours with my own money. I can't wait to test out some colours from the Pop collection to really brighten things up.

P.S. This is my first ever blog post. I hope it's not too terrible
